These days when you go to the supermarket, you will find that there will be two types of the fruits and vegetable and the meats and others processed foods which all labeled in the organic term, and normal term. The labels are used to divide these two types of products. By knowing the what is in the foods you are going to put in your mouth, and what are the consequences of having those stuffs as the food nutrients will help you to decide which foods that you should go for.

Firstly, you have to know what is the term of organic is really mean. When it comes to the organic foods, it means that there should be no preservatives added, no other types of fertilizers or pesticides or any other chemicals to be added in the foods. There should not be any of the growth hormones or any antibiotics given to the animals. Normally, organic foods must gained the proved by the USDA .

The processed and natural foods are the foods that can have the pesticides, fertilizers, chemicals and preservatives added to them, within a limit amount present in the foods. These amounts have been studied, and show that it’s safe for consumption. Together with this definition, It’s also mean that the meat can have the growth hormones and the antibiotics in the limited amount that allowed in the food standard regulation. There are the different levels of those additives presented, depends on the food labels. The reasons that why it has been done with this foods is, to prevent an extra grow of microorganisms in the food. Secondly, there are more food can be produced for the consumers. The additives and the chemicals allow the foods to stay longer if they have to transport to the further places.

Another type of food that is often seen is organic that has had certain things done in order alter its content. Low-fat, whole-wheat, gluten-free and reduced-sodium are some of the popular labels that can be seen on processed foods. These foods could be organic, but they have been processed in order to provide different nutritional balance for the diet.

Organic food, however, still have to meet a certain criteria. For instance, if the milk is not pasteurized, it contains bacteria that are may harm the consumer and can cause problems.

There are several different types of foods, all which have been processed to varying levels. Grocery stores offer these different levels of organic and processed foods to consumers. Before going into a grocery store, know which type of food will be better for you to consume. This will help you figure out what balance of nutrition and food works best for you.
